Highland Coffee is stellar! They have the best vanilla lattes (w/ oat milk) in Lou, their decor is tasteful, the staff is really friendly, it's always clean, they use paper straws & they have a TON of amazing homemade treats. The only "complaint" I have is I wish the decor was a little bit more cluttered & there was more on the walls just to make the place feel more warm. Other than that this place should be on your list to check out & will NOT disappoint.

I was introduced years ago to this eclectic coffeehouse and a regular for a while because it was near school. Now I occasionally stop in maybe every 4 months. Tonight I got a chai freeze that was sweet and spice chai blended with nonfat milk and a Banana Chocolate Muffin that is vegan and very flavorful and tasty.
I learned that the muffins and other pastries are made in their bakery so they can use better ingredients.
If you are looking for a plastic straw you better bring your own because they have moved to paper or pasta straws. -

I've never been here for some reason.
It's right next to Urban Outfitters.
It's very hipstery and a watering hole for those around the neighborhood.
When I came in around 2pm, it was busy. Most tables inside were taken. They do have outside seating though.
I ordered the bourbon pecan latte which also has bourbon whip. It wasn't overly sweet and the espresso was light. Nothing special.
My sister got a brown sugar flavored latte. She felt the same as I did.
They've got a lot of fall lattes to choose from.
They also have oat milk and macadamia milk!
Staff was super nice.
I'm not sure when I'll be back since im likely at other coffee shops in town.
Prices were cheap in comparison to other places I've been to though. -

What to get: specialty espresso drinks, flavored whipped cream
Vibe: Busy local coffee shop for meeting up
Parking: shared parking lot
==The Space==
A local favorite for busy social bees. I came to study, but this place is more fitting for meetings and hanging out. I love how connected this place is to the community and all the happenings going on in the community. Inclusive with so many food and drink options, this is a great spot the majority of people looking for a coffee shop.
==The Drinks==
You know, I forgot the 2 drinks I ordered here, but I remember them being specialty espresso drinks. One thing that I did remember is the many flavors of whipped cream they had, including chocolate bourbon. It's rich and very sweet, so your drink becomes a liquid dessert when added.
Next time I'll have to take a picture of the menu since all the photos on Yelp with the menus are very dated.
==For Next Time==

This was second stop on our caffeine crawl across Louisville. Went with brewed coffee here and honestly not super impressed. I've been in her the past and had their espresso drink which is why I came back. Maybe it's just the brew I got but has some weird notes.
Friendly staff clean place.
